Fermentation, one of the oldest known and healthy preservation methods, is back in fashion. Layer vegetables roughly chopped, finely sliced, or cut into florets, seasoned as desired, in the glass container. Fill with water, add the solid glass weight, and close. Lactic acid fermentation begins, and any resulting gases escape through the clever fermentation vent system. Suitable for cauliflower, beets, gherkins, carrots, celery, turnips, pumpkin, peppers, onions, and much more. Sauerkraut, aromatic kimchi, delicious cucumbers, or crunchy, sour carrots are quick and safe to make, and you control the quality and taste. After about 3-6 weeks, the pickled, nutrient- and vitamin-rich vegetables can be enjoyed. Also suitable for fermenting fruit. The decorative, food-safe, acid-resistant borosilicate glass jar (12 cm diameter, 12 cm high, 1 liter capacity) also serves as an odor-free storage container thanks to the closable vent.
