The HSS-Co twist drill has a long service life when drilling stainless steel. This extended service life is ensured by the metal alloy with a 5% cobalt content and the solid-ground HSS steel with excellent surface quality, wear resistance, and heat protection. The two cutting edges and two spiral flutes quickly remove chips, thus extending the service life even further. This drill bit drills alloyed and unalloyed steel, stainless steel, cast iron, cast steel, as well as acid- and heat-resistant steel. The HSS-Co twist drill is manufactured according to DIN 338. It is a type N drill (small rake angle) with a 135-degree drill tip and a diameter tolerance of h8. The split-ground drill tip enables active drilling and perfect centering without wandering. This drill bit drills alloyed and unalloyed steel, stainless steel, cast iron, cast steel, as well as acid- and heat-resistant steel. The shank is cylindrical (the shank diameter corresponds to the drill diameter). It is used with drill stands and drill drivers.
