Blood mites visit your chickens' perches every night. The birds drink blood and return to their hiding place. The consequences for your poultry are serious. Your chickens can become severely anemic and even die. Blood mites also cause reduced egg production. Young chickens are particularly susceptible to blood mites, which hide in every crack and crevice of the coop.
The Anti-Blood Mite Kit prevents the transmission of blood mites between the chickens and the rest of the coop. The kit consists of two rotating trays. Because they are rotatable, they can be easily filled with oil without causing any mess. The kit also includes two long wall brackets with compression nuts and mounting hardware. A minimum distance of 8 cm should be maintained between the perch and the coop wall. This is the only way to prevent blood mites from reaching the chickens.
Installing the Olba Anti-Blood Mite Kit is easy. The rotating trays can be filled three-quarters full with the oil of your choice. The oil prevents the lice from reaching the chickens. It is important to check the trays regularly. If you see blood mites, it is advisable to treat the rest of the coop as well. And of course, you should also make sure that there is always enough oil in the blood louse bags.
