Minimum age 15 years (§ 10 FeV): A moped test certificate is required. EXCEPTION: Persons born before April 1, 1965, do not require a moped test certificate or driver's license. Insurance and a license plate (moped license plate) are mandatory. An EU type approval (COC) is included with the vehicle. With this certificate, a license plate can be obtained from an insurance company or bank. Tax-free. Helmets are not required for riders of motorcycles that do not exceed a design speed of 20 km/h (6th Exception Regulation to the Road Traffic Licensing Regulations of March 24, 1994). Use on roads without a minimum speed limit and on cycle paths designated for mopeds. Tax-free, StVZO-approved.

Under optimal conditions (straight, paved road, no headwind, dry weather, payload of approximately 70 kg, and defensive driving), the vehicle achieves the stated range. The range can be significantly reduced under negative parameters.
