The Effect

Diesel fuel contains paraffin - for clean combustion and lubrication. Paraffin forms crystals when cooled. As temperatures continue to drop, crystal formation increases; increasingly larger "lumps" are formed, which can clog lines and filters.

ERC Diesel Cold Protection contains active ingredients that enclose the paraffin crystals, thus preventing further growth and clumping with other crystals. They form additional crystallization nuclei, which leads to more, but particularly small, filterable paraffin crystals.

The result

The flow improver ERC Diesel Cold Protection prevents the formation of larger paraffin crystals, increases the operational reliability of diesel vehicles in winter, and can improve the CFPP* by up to -11°C, depending on the diesel quality.

ERC Diesel Cold Protection is designed for regular use in the autumn/winter months (add to each tank fill before the onset of cold weather) and is suitable for all diesel engines (including DPFs).

Application

Add before or after refueling. Concentrate, 1 graduation (= 50 ml) per 50 liters of diesel. Keep frost-free!

*CFPP = Cold Filter Plugging Point (the temperature at which a mineral oil sample cooled under standardized conditions no longer flows sufficiently through a sieve with a defined mesh size.
