Argentina at the end of the 19th century:

As the owner of a large estancia (cattle ranch) in the endless expanse of the Pampas, you repeatedly drive your herds to the nearest loading dock, where you send them by train on their journey to Buenos Aires for shipping.

• For 1 to 4 players
• Ages 12+

In Great Western Trail: Argentina, you slip into the role of Argentinian estancieros (cattle ranchers). As such, you move along a cattle trail that winds from the bottom left corner of the game board to Buenos Aires in the top right corner.
To earn money, you must keep your herds in good condition and use the buildings along the trail wisely.

You should also hire skilled personnel: Gauchos to expand your herds, Carpinteros to construct your own buildings, and Maquinistas to improve and maintain your locomotive.

Whoever takes good care of their herd and best masters the opportunities and pitfalls of the Pampa through clever timing will score the most points and emerge victorious.

New options and challenges await you in this standalone game: For example, you can now load your cattle—and the new resource, grain—onto ships and send them to Europe. There are also now exhaustion cards that weaken your deck and should be disposed of before they cost you points at the end of the game.
