The Christmas trees are equipped with LEDs, similar to a string of light bulbs. The gauges we specify for the trees are only recommendations. You can also use the small tree for 0 gauge or set up the large one in a town square in N gauge. Let your imagination run wild!
The connection is made to the light current output of a standard 16 V model railway transformer. Suitable for DC or AC power. Alternatively, operation with a 12 V plug-in power supply (500 mA, AC/DC) is possible.
Note: The cables of our illuminated trees are coated with a non-conductive paint to prevent short circuits. You can see this color on the copper-colored cables. If you solder the cables to extension cords or rub off the paint with fine sandpaper, the trees should light up.
