PFW Electric Wire Rope Winch
With load capacities from 250 to 3,000 kg, this electric wire rope winch, with its modular design, is one of the most modern devices for pulling, lifting, and moving loads. Thanks to its wide range of assembly options, it can be adapted to almost any installation situation.

Drive

The spur gear unit is equipped with a three-phase brake motor as standard. The standard operating voltage is 3-phase / 400 V / 50 Hz. The duty cycle is 60%, enabling almost continuous operation under the most difficult conditions. For unprotected outdoor use, the brake motor meets protection class IP 55.
Other operating voltages, alternative drive types, as well as higher duty cycles and protection classes are available upon request.
 

Limit Switching

The limit switch is installed on the drive side as standard to save space. Upon request, or when using the manual overrunning clutch, it is mounted on the opposite side, above the drum bearing. In addition to the standard version as an emergency limit switch, we optionally offer the limit switch with 4 contacts as an operating limit switch to ensure that the emergency limit switch is not triggered during operation, as required by the Machinery Directive. For use of the PFW, for example, in combination with a frequency converter control, the limit switch can be factory-equipped with an integrated incremental encoder. The IP65 protection class and the high-quality workmanship of the limit switch make it possible to use it in almost any environment. Rope Drum

In the basic version, we supply your PFW with a smooth drum base. Upon request, we can provide the rope drum with grooving to achieve longer rope service life and smoother rope running. You can choose between two drum diameters. The standard diameter is based on a D/d ratio of 14 and thus meets the requirements of the 1Bm drive group. Double the drum diameter is available for single-layer applications requiring the highest precision. Thanks to the modular design of the rope drum, your PFW drum can even be converted from smooth to grooved in our factory at a later date. Base frame: Torsion-resistant yet flexible, it adapts to almost any surface. Many accessories are retrofitted and can therefore be modified over the course of use. Lateral protection devices are installed as standard, effectively preventing the rope from slipping off. In addition to the ability to run the rope in virtually any direction from the drum, the stainless steel frame rods facilitate handling during transport or assembly.

Options

For the first time, the modular design makes it possible to retrofit or modify many of the options. Most notably, the manual overrunning clutch, which decouples the rope drum from the drive and brake for quick rope removal. Simply select a grooved drum or special drum length, limit switch, rope pressure roller, slack rope switch, drum protective covers, two or more rope outlets, hand brake release with or without emergency hand crank, and various protective coating systems from our options catalog. With our C5 coating according to ISO 12944, the PFW, combined with an increased protection class for the motor and stainless steel connecting elements in the offshore version, can also be used in saltwater and sea air environments or on ships. The limit switch is installed on the drive side as standard.
