This practical set includes not only 4 Gardigo vole traps, but also the accessories needed to set up the traps. So you can start rodent control right away. The probe, a metal rod with a handle, is inserted into the ground to locate vole tunnels.
Places where the rod quickly sinks in and then meets resistance are most likely the location of the vole tunnel. A hole is then drilled into this hole using the post hole digger, into which the tunnel trap fits snugly. When placing the trap, ensure the openings point toward the tunnel. The animal can be caught coming from either direction. If a draft or light penetrates its burrow, the vole will burrow the opening closed. Therefore, the gap between the trap and the soil must be covered with leaves. Alternatively, you can simply place a bucket over the trap.
Set the trap by holding it with one hand and pulling the handle upwards with the other. You can tell whether the trap has been triggered by the position of the handle, without having to pull the trap out of the soil.
