Precise machining and special heat treatment are crucial for the long and reliable function of these pressing tongs (pressing jaws). During the pressing process, the pressing tongs can exert pressing forces of up to 100 kN (10 t), which must be safely absorbed by the pressing tongs.
These pressing tongs are therefore made from forged and specially hardened special steel with high strength. The respective system-specific pressing contour is machined with high precision in a single operation on CNC machining centers – together with the required external machining of the pressing jaws and the marking of the pressing contour and pipe size – and precisely rounded by machine.
The special heat treatment of the pressing tongs in the hardening shop achieves an ideal combination of strength and toughness. This manufacturing process guarantees that the machined pressing contour is transferred to the press connection properly and with a long service life.
Suitable for all commercially available electric radial pressing tools with a constant thrust of 30 to 40 kN.
