Puritan kit scale 1:50

Designed by Edward Burgess, Puritan was a sloop just under 30 meters long, with a good beam and a sliding keel, typical of American boats of this class.

Under the command of Captain Aubrey Crocker, she defended the America's Cup in 1885 against the English cutter Ginesta, winning two races: the first in light winds and the second in winds of over 20 knots, confirming the superiority of American hulls in this type of regatta.

The 1:50 scale allows for the reproduction of every detail of the actual model. According to the manufacturer, the model can be built both statically (with the second planking visible in mahogany or painted as desired) and floating, with appropriate measures to ensure the hull is watertight. However, this should only be done by experienced modelers, as the instructions provide no information on this. Radio control is not provided.
