Many plant pests overwinter as eggs on fruit and ornamental trees. This happens directly on the bark or in bark cracks. Here they can even tolerate frost, only to become active again in spring with the first rays of sunshine.

To prevent spider mites and other pests from spreading on trees and shrubs, we recommend spraying with Promanal New Growth Spray upon emergence. This product, which contains paraffin oil, forms a film over the overwintering stages of the pests and suffocates them. Promanal New Growth Spray can be used on fruit and ornamental trees.
