  • Impregnated and non-toxic softwood
  • Galvanized metal wire
  • With outdoor enclosure
  • Easy to clean
  • Removable lid for easy egg removal

The beautiful Bertha chicken coop can be used to keep chickens, chicks, quails, and even rabbits. It is advisable to let the chickens run freely or in a small enclosure during the day.

The optimal location for installation:
In summer, the small animal coop should be in a shady location to protect the animals from overheating. It is best to place the small animal coop in a location protected from wind and rain. This way, the coop can be a home for your pets for a long time.

The chicken coop is made of softwood, is non-toxic, and is impregnated against moisture. The metal wire is galvanized and offers good protection against predators such as martens and foxes.

With the metal slider, you can easily open and close the door from the main house to the outdoor enclosure from the outside. Two chicken perches plus the partition to the nesting box provide a species-appropriate sleeping area. The nesting box is framed, allowing the chickens to build a cozy nest. The drawer base is sturdy, made of metal and therefore extremely easy to clean.

The roof and the nesting box are covered with roofing felt. The nesting box lid is easy to open. This makes it easy to remove the eggs. The legal regulations for organic farming stipulate the following regarding the housing space for laying hens: A maximum of 6 birds may be kept per square meter of housing space. How many chickens do I need for my household? On average, laying hens can lay between 180 and 220 eggs per year. With 3 laying hens, we calculate 3 x an average of 200 eggs = 600 eggs per year, or approximately 11 eggs per week. It is clear that 3 laying hens are usually sufficient for a family. There are breeds that lay even more eggs.
