Perforated sleeves are first inserted into the drill hole and filled with composite/injection mortar. The wing cap is then pushed in, securing the threaded rod in the perforated sleeve. The cap with the centering wings is then pushed in. By screwing in the threaded rod, the composite/injection mortar is pressed out of the side of the sieve sleeve and bonds with the surrounding building material.
