From March onwards, aphids damage trees with their sucking activities. They are often assisted by ants. The ants climb back and forth between the treetop and the ground. Preventing this contact also inhibits the development of the aphids. Aphids and other insects on fruit and ornamental trees can also be controlled with an approved COMPO insecticide.
The caterpillars of the winter moth feed on leaves and blossoms or cause hollowing of the fruit. The flightless females of the winter moth are prevented from laying eggs by the COMPO Glue Spray. The spray should be applied to the trunk from the beginning of October until approximately 3 weeks after bud break.
