Macaroons have been known in Germany since around the 17th century. Their origin is documented in the 16th century, although this is considered likely to have originated in Italy. The term "macaron" has existed in French since this time. In 1604, a cookbook published in Liège also mentions macaroons. This sweet, airy egg white meringue with desiccated coconut is a great accompaniment to tea or coffee.

Coconut 31%, sugar, glucose syrup, egg white, dextrose, rice flour.
