Side chain tensioning

The tensioning screw is operated from the side through the sprocket cover. This prevents hand contact with the sharp saw chain and the tips of the claw stop.

QuickStop Super (Q) chain brake

Additional braking system for increased safety – exclusive to STIHL. The saw chain stops not only in the event of sufficiently strong kickback or when the front hand guard is actively operated, but also when the rear handle is released. The chain stops running in seconds, protecting the user.

Top-Mounted Filler Neck

The chain oil can be easily refilled through the top-mounted filler neck.

Overload Protection

In the event of an overload, the electric motor automatically shuts off to protect against damage caused by overheating. The red overload button is triggered. After approximately 1 minute, the motor has cooled down, and the chainsaw can be used again.

STIHL Ematic System

The STIHL Ematic System consists of an Ematic guide bar, Oilomatic saw chain, and a flow-adjustable or reduced-flow oil pump. The special design of the bar and chain ensures that every drop of chain oil reaches where it is needed for lubrication. Oil consumption can be reduced by up to 50%.

Cable strain relief

The cable strain relief ensures that the plug connection is not accidentally disconnected when tightening.

Transparent oil tank

A clear view to prevent empty tanks: Thanks to the transparent tank, you can keep an eye on the chain oil level. Chain oil can be filled quickly and easily using the STIHL oil filling system.
