The STIHL MSA 120 C-BQ is an extremely lightweight, cordless chainsaw for maintaining your property and processing fallen wood. A PM3 saw chain is installed as standard in this cordless chainsaw, which guarantees a fine cut as well as consistently high cutting performance. A particular advantage of the STIHL MSA 120 C-BQ cordless chainsaw is that it is emission-free and operates so quietly that you don't need hearing protection.

The STIHL MSA 120 C-BQ is equipped with a quick-change chain tensioning system, allowing you to adjust and tighten the saw chain in a very short time and with just a few simple steps. Simply loosen the screw on the cover and then tension the chain using an adjusting wheel. No tools are required. Working with the STIHL MSA 120 C-BQ is significantly safer thanks to the QuickStop Super function, an additional braking system. This ensures that the saw chain stops not only when you activate the front hand guard or a strong kickback occurs, but also when you take your hand off the rear handle. Because this system stops the chain from running within seconds, the risk of cuts is significantly reduced.

The Ematic system makes the STIHL MSA 120 C-BQ a particularly sustainable tool. This is a special saw chain design. The system ensures that the chain oil is only delivered to the right places, which can reduce oil consumption by up to 50 percent.

QuickStop Super Function (Q)

Additional braking system for increased safety – exclusive to STIHL. The saw chain stops not only in the event of sufficiently strong kickback or when the front hand guard is actively operated, but also when the rear handle is released. The chain stops running in seconds, protecting the user.

STIHL quick chain tensioning system (B)

The STIHL quick chain tensioning system (B) makes tensioning the saw chain very easy. After loosening the screw on the chain sprocket cover, the saw chain can be tensioned quickly and easily using the adjusting wheel above it. No tools are required.

Intermediate position for battery in the tool

The battery can be inserted into the tool in two positions. In the first position, the intermediate position, the battery is firmly secured in the tool but does not touch the contacts in the tool. In the second locking position, the operating position, the battery is fully inserted and touches the contacts in the device.

Tool-free oil tank cap

The transparent oil tank and the tool-free oil tank cap make it easy and convenient to check the oil level.

Operating handle

The black soft component on the rear operating handle ensures a secure and firm grip in all working positions. The gearshift lever can be unlocked using the side lock button.

Ematic System

The STIHL Ematic System consists of a STIHL Ematic or Ematic S guide bar, a STIHL Oilomatic saw chain, and a flow-adjustable or reduced-flow oil pump.
