Ants are useful creatures, but no one needs them in the form of an ant infestation in their own home. However, it often happens that these creepy crawlies wander into our pantry and set up their "ant nest" there, or even create an entire colony. The nest is usually hidden in the wall, and this must be eradicated and combated in general.
Killing individual ants has a short-term effect, but as long as food is present—which is unavoidable in the home—the pests will continue to emerge from their hiding places.
Poison traps are one option: These kill the beneficial ants, and if children are present, it can have serious health consequences.
