The President is a prime example of the numerous small frigates built around 1750. Economic considerations were the decisive factor in the development of this ship type. Seamanship-wise, the frigates were superior to the older, high-sided galleons.
All wooden parts of this model are laser-cut. Cast metal decorations, all fittings, and a detailed construction plan with instructions are included in the model kit.
