Special charging functions
Refresh mode: The refresh function increases performance and extends the life of the battery.AGM/Frost mode: Frost & AGM function for an adapted charging process at low temperatures below 4°C or for AGM batteries.
Step 1 (Breaking down sulfation) Detects batteries affected by sulfate deposits and removes these deposits using pulsating current and voltage to restore optimal battery capacity.
Step 2 (Soft Start)
Tests the battery's charging capability and only starts the charging process if the result is positive. This prevents damage.
Step 3 (Charging up to 80%)
After a successful test, charges the battery with maximum current up to a charge level of approximately 80%.
Step 4 (Charging up to 95%)
Charges with decreasing current up to a charge of 95%.
Step 5 (Capacity Test)
Tests the battery for charge retention. Indicates when the battery cannot maintain the voltage. Defective batteries are indicated by the red LED and should be replaced.
Step 6 (Refresh 100%)
Select Refresh by pressing the Mode button to incorporate this mode into the automatic sequence. The Refresh function causes a controlled degassing of the battery acid. This ensures full charge and increases the battery's durability and performance.
Step 7 (Trick Charge)
Charge maintenance at constant battery voltage and low charging current
Step 8 (Pulse Charge 95-100%)
If the voltage drops below 95%, 100% of the charge is restored with charging pulses, preventing re-sulfation.
