Rodents in the house or stable bring in diseases and disturb the livestock. With a Westfalia Profi live trap, you can catch rats, martens, young foxes, badgers, and other small animals without harming them. The trap resembles an elongated box and is made of galvanized wire mesh on the outside. There are entrances at both ends, which means the animal is particularly quickly drawn into the trap. In the middle of the cage is a stepping stone where you position the animal-specific attractant. When the animal smells the lure, it runs into the trap, and its weight triggers the locking mechanism. The trap snaps shut, and the animal can no longer escape. Using the carrying handle, you can transport the animal in the trap cage to a location several kilometers away and release it alive. A protective sheet metal is mounted on the carrying handle to protect against bites and scratches. The live trap is stable, and with a weight of 8 kg, there's little risk of tipping over.
