The hotshock® AN490 electric fence energizer can be operated either on a 230 V mains power supply or on a 12 V battery. Optionally, the device can also be powered by a solar panel. For optimal pulse control, the electric fence energizer flashes in time with the pulses being emitted. This allows you to recognize your energizer's activity from a distance.

The device also features a deep discharge cut-off function that effectively protects your battery. The "System Control" fence insulation indicator shows the insulation status of your electric fence in 6 stages. If all 6 LEDs are illuminated, the fence insulation is good and little energy is required. The fewer the number of illuminated LEDs, the more leakage there is, such as vegetation or poor grounding, and the higher the energy consumption.

Thanks to the convenient on/off switch on the electric fence energizer, the power no longer needs to be turned off using a fence switch or by unplugging the power cord. The 3-stage "Energy Control" LED display offers a quick check of the battery capacity and also shows you the energizer's activity by flashing in time with the pulses being emitted. Thanks to the special power-saving circuit, the energizer's power consumption adapts to the fence, ensuring low energy consumption, reduced environmental impact, and cost savings.

The two fence outputs offer different output energies (full strength and a less hazardous energy limited to 1 J) for flexible operation in large and/or small pastures. The clear 6-stage LED voltage display allows for easy remote monitoring of your energizer.

Our energizers are made of high-quality plastics and are UV-resistant, splash-proof, torsion-resistant, impact-resistant, and oil-resistant. This guarantees long-term durability of the energizer. The electric fence energizer is suitable for fence lengths (medium vegetation) up to 20 km.

To ensure optimal herding security, we recommend installing the electric fence energizer with three 1.5 m earthing rods.
